Tank Terminal Operators School to be Opened in Amsterdam

February 09, 2011 [TTT/PortStorage Group] - Tank Terminal Training (TTT) announced Tuesday that in cooperation with the Harbor College in Amsterdam, Tence Temp Agency,  the Tank Terminal Operation &  Management School (T-TOMS) is to open its doors on the 28th of  February 2011.


T-TOMS daytime school will be offering 3 days a week a basic and advanced tank terminal operators training. The training’s duration will be 3 months and will include Safety VCA, BHV, ADNR, communication skills in English.

This initiative is aimed to teach, create and form a new generation of tank terminal operators in order to meet demand of the growing tank terminal industry in ARA and worldwide and to offer the advanced learning programs to those people or companies interested.

The school invites interested parties, oil and storage companies, and potential clients to sponsor/support this initiative by allowing their students to train on-site at their terminals.

The program will consist of a wide range of relevant subjects related to safe and responsible custody transfer and their SOP’s – Standard Operational Procedures, and based on ISGOTT, SOLAS, VOTOB, Tanker operations, tank farm logistics, etc.

The focus will be on value awareness and operational excellence towards a magic word: sustainability.

T-TOMS will offer Loading Masters Workshops and a variety of oil and chemical logistics training programs.

In cooperation with the Gas Technology Institute, based in Chicago, TTT is organizing an LNG Terminal Operations Course to take place in The Netherlands, Rotterdam area from June 19-23, 2011.
