Arc Terminals LP buys two Alabama storage terminals
06.07.2010 - NEWS
June 4, 2010 [OPIS] - Arc Terminals LP will expand into the Gulf Coast region thanks to a just-completed transaction where it will acquire two terminals in Mobile, Ala., from Dunhill Terminals.

The facilities are located at the port of Chickasaw and
on Blakely Island in Alabama, and have a combined storage capacity of 1.5-million bbl with access to marine, rail and truck transport.
Dunhill Terminals filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in late March 2010. In addition to the two terminals sold to Arc, the Dunhill group also owns a 5-million bbl facility in Donaldson, La.
Arc Terminals has quietly built a multistate business that owns or holds interest in 10 terminals in eight states with a combined storage capacity of 3.6 million bbl. The private company provides third-party storage and delivery services for petroleum and other liquids. It will retain existing customers at the Alabama terminals and seek additional third parties to lease other storage at the facilities.
No purchase price was given, but Arc Terminals funded the transaction through a capital investment from parent Lightfoot Capital Partners LP. That company invests directly in master limited partnerships qualifying businesses and assets.
