Daxie Oil Terminal begins operations in Ningbo
11.10.2009 - NEWS
The Daxie 300,000-ton oil terminal in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, Southeast China became operational at the end of October, and is the largest oil terminal in China, according to Ningbo Port Co. Ltd.

When the Daxie oil terminal became operational, so did PetroChina’s 1.3-million-cubic meter oil tank, also in Daxie. The two projects, involving a total investment of 1.26 billion yuan, are regarded as a crucial step in southeast China’s national energy strategic layout.
The two projects’ operation will not only quell China’s oil products supply shortage, but also eliminate oil resource constraints on economic development and boost the region’s fuel oil reserves.
